Interior Pool Finishes (Plaster & Pebble)

Interior finishes form the surface of the pool and play a major role in both appearance and feel. Plaster and pebble finishes are selected based on desired color, texture, durability, and how the pool will be used. Each option offers different characteristics in terms of surface feel, longevity, and visual depth, making proper selection an important part of the overall design process.

Plaster finishes provide a smooth, classic appearance and can be customized with various color blends to achieve a clean, uniform look. Pebble finishes incorporate natural aggregates that create added texture and depth while offering increased durability and resistance to staining. Finish selection is coordinated with pool shape, water depth, and surrounding materials to ensure a cohesive final result.

All interior finishes are installed with attention to proper surface preparation, curing conditions, and water chemistry requirements. These factors are critical to achieving consistent color, long-term performance, and a finish that maintains its appearance over time. We can do plaster / pebble in a new build as well as redo the plaster / pebble in an existing build and do a remodel.

Pool remodel with updated tile and interior finish

Tile & Waterline Tile

Tile is most commonly used at the waterline to create a clean visual break between the pool interior and surrounding decking. Waterline tile helps protect the pool shell from surface staining while adding a decorative element that ties into the overall design of the pool and outdoor space.

In addition to waterline applications, tile is often used as trim on steps, benches, sun shelves, and transitions to define edges, improve visibility, and create a finished appearance. Trim tile provides both a visual accent and a functional boundary between different depths and structural elements within the pool.

Tile selection includes considerations for material type, color, size, and finish to ensure compatibility with the chosen interior finish and coping. Glass, porcelain, and ceramic tiles each offer different visual effects and maintenance characteristics. Proper layout, alignment, and grout selection are essential to achieving a consistent and refined appearance.

Tile installation is carefully coordinated with pool elevations, step geometry, and finish transitions to ensure clean lines and long-term durability. When designed and installed correctly, tile serves both a functional and aesthetic role throughout the pool, from waterline detailing to interior trim accents. We can do waterline and trim tile in a new build as well as redo the waterline and trim tile in an existing build and do a remodel.
